(WASHINGTON DC) December 28, 2002...The Saudi government has informed the US two weeks ago it will allow the use of Prince Sultan airbase in Al-Kharij in the looming war with Saddam government, a Saudi source in London told SIA News 10 days ago.

Foreign minister Prince Saudi Al-Faisal told a press conference in Riyadh Tuesday that the government won’t directly participate in a war with Iraq. He said the UN dose not mandate the type of cooperation in implanting its resolutions. If there is a war in Iraq, Saudi Arabia won't participate in any direct military action, he said. |
